Baby Planners For Busy Mums-to-be -
First there were wedding planners and now....expectant business-minded mothers who are keen to continue their careers throughout their pregnancy can now hire the services of a baby-planner, priced at a mere £2,500 a go. Gone are the days of consulting fellow parents, doctors, health practitioners and agony aunt columns; with the baby-planner onboard, the busy mum can carry on with life as normal while the experts work out the details of the pregnancy, their child's birth and their new family's early years. The average mum-to-be spent between 150-250 hours preparing for the birth of their child and for mums who wanted to keep their career going, finding the time could be difficult. More than ever before, mothers are feeling the pressure of getting the birth and the child's early years 'just right' but that modern lives are making the process all to daunting. Nowadays, few young professionals live near their families and so don't have access to help and advice from relatives. Claiming to do everything from finding the best baby carrier to creating the baby's bedroom and arranging parent confidence classes, the baby-planner service continues after the birth into the first few months of the baby's life. Once baby arrives baby planners will hire the best maternity nurse, shortlist nannies and nurseries, advise on feeding patterns and help with establishing routine. In addition they will be on call by phone and email.

Surrogate charges parents bonus for being pregnant with twins. A surrogate mother demanded a £5,000 bonus from the couple whose child she was carrying, when it turned out she was expecting twins. Mandy Case had been paid £10,000 for her services, but when she found out that she was pregnant with twins, levied an additional £5,000! (Sounds fair to me!)

A new study by the University of California has found that women unconsciously 'dress to impress' when they're at their most fertile. The study took photographs of 30 female students ( a small group to say the least!!), all in stable relationships, without telling them that the study was about fertility. It then asked a group of 42 people to judge the photographs by attractiveness. Faces were masked so that it was on clothes alone that the students were judged. When the results were worked out, 60% of those who were judged to impress the most turned out to be in their most fertile period – a result that is much greater than random chance would suggest. 'Near ovulation, women dress to impress,' explained the study's lead researcher, Martie Haselton. 'And the closer women come to ovulation, the more attention they appear to pay to their appearance.' So there we are then!!!

Model Jordan's eldest son Harvey in hospital getting burnt in an accident at his home on New Year's Eve. According to The Sun, the four-year-old was injured just hours before Jordan and her husband Peter Andre were due to host a New Year's Eve party. Harvey was rushed to hospital by ambulance and is being treated in a specialist burns unit at London's Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Jordan, aka Katie Price, and Andre cancelled their planned party in order to be by the child's bedside. Jordan's manager Claire Powell said: "Harvey is now in a stable condition, but that's all I know. I haven't spoken to Pete or Katie because they're at the hospital with him constantly. They're with him 24-7 and their phones are off. They are devastated but they are being strong for Harvey."
