Andrew has been interested in natural remedies from an early age and is keen to make the practice of natural medicine more accessible to the general public, so that more people can benefit from natural forms of healthcare. He has a great interest in children’s healthcare and has worked with children for many years, treating physical, emotional and behavioural problems. He sees our children as the future of our planet and is working hard to introduce and encourage the practice of natural medicine and nutrition to parents nationwide. An interest in herbal medicine was kindled when he was young as Andrew is the fifth generation in his family to use herbal medicine, something he learnt initially from his mother and grandparents before going on to study the subject professionally.

Andrew is a registered western practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is qualified and registered to practice Herbal medicine, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Cupping therapy, Auricular (ear) therapy, and the traditional Barefoot Doctor methods as practised in China. He also specialises in a unique form of paediatric treatment based on an ancient Chinese method of treating children of all ages. Andrew says “it’s a great way to treat kids as it involves a gentle massage on specific points on the hands and arms only. They instantly relax and really enjoy the treatment, sometimes they even fall asleep. It’s a great way to rebalance the body and also affects their mood and general behaviour”. Andrew is one of a very small group of people in the UK to practice this type of treatment as it is also quite rare in China. He had the great good fortune to study this method with a Chinese Professor of Chinese medicine (from the city hospital in Shandong province, China) in the UK for 2 years.

Andrew has recently written his first book ‘7 Secrets of Healthy Living: the ancient art of staying well’ which gives an introduction to the natural ways to stay healthy and prevent disease. More books are in the pipeline and Andrew is also developing a range of natural skin and hair care products also suitable for children.

Andrew is Director of Chinese Medicine for the Unified Register of Herbal Practitioners, a register that is dedicated to safe practice and preservation of traditional medicine from around the World. He holds office on the executive council of the register and is responsible for looking after all of the members that are practitioners of Chinese medicine.

For those of you were wondering, the various letters attached to Andrew's name mean:
Dip.CH – Diploma as certified herbalist
DCHA – Diploma in Chinese Healthcare and Acupuncture in Beijing and the UK

Andrew is a registered member of the Unified Register of Herbal Practitioners (URHP) and the Chinese Medical Institute Register (CMIR) and has been practicing natural medicine for the last 8 years.
