To celebrate the opening of their latest attraction Pirates Landing, LEGOLAND Windsor embarked on a quest to discover the best buccaneering, the silliest swash buckling jokes ever

Thousands of families who have already visited the Berkshire theme park so far in its 15th season took part in the challenge and voted for the best.

An Official LEGOLAND Windsor campaign also encouraged fans to don their finest sea faring costumes and deliver their favourite gags via video. You can see the some of the best efforts here

Pirates Landing at LEGOLAND Windsor boasts an exciting array of attractions featuring brand new ride the Jolly Rocker Swinging Ship, Pirate Falls Dynamite Drench, and Pirates Training Camp, making it a great day out for the most adventurous of families!

Ahoy there me hearties! Get ready to laugh your hooks off – LEGOLAND Windsor is proud to announce the top five pirate jokes of all time, as voted by thousands of families this year.

An old favourite took the top spot with 65% of families visiting park’s newest attraction Pirates Landing rating the funniest pirate gag as:

Q. Why did the pirate take up boxing?
A. Because he had a killer left hook

But, proving even pirates have mobile phones now, pirates phones going beep beep beep , because they were left off the hook, also featured in the shortlist.
