The Olympic Games may be over for another four years but some Chinese parents have been swept up in the craze for Olympic names for their babies.In China,this year so far, over 3,500 babies have been named 'Aoyun' which means 'Olympic Games' in Mandarin.
Some children have been named after the 'Fuwa' or Olympic mascots. The Fuwa comprise Jingjing the black panda, Huanhuan the red Olympic flame, Beibei the blue fish, Nini the green swallow and Yingying the yellow Tibetan antelope.

According to the Chinese authorities, 1,240 babies have been called Jingjing, there are 1,063 Huanhuans, 880 named Beibei, 642 Ninis and Yingying comes last with only 624 namesakes.
Given Team GB's recent success, we reckon a fair number of little girls will be called Rebecca and there's bound to be a resurgence in the popularity of the name Chris.
