Mums are feeling increasingly stressed and are finding it difficult to balance the twin pressures of home and work. Some 62% of mums who work full or part-time and have children under seven would like to leave their jobs, the survey found.

The research was carried out on 2,000 parents with children aged ten or younger.

Life coach, Suzy Greaves, said: 'We feel guilty about everything - the amount of time we spend at work, the lack of time we have to play with our children and the amount of time our kids spend in childcare.'
