Summer Fun at Beale Park

If you're searching for a fun place to take the kids this Summer then look no further than Beale Park, situated on the banks of the River Thames at Lower Basildon, in Berkshire.

Beale Park
Easy to find from Junction 12 of the M4, Beale Park is perfect for all ages, featuring a variety of rare and endanged animals, a train ride, refreshing paddling pools, a large sand pit (don’t forget your bucket and spade!) plus numerous other play areas - all the ingredients needed for a fun packed family day out.

The Little Tikes Village is designed to capture children’s imagination and encourage safe interactive and physical play. Children can jump into their Cozy Coupe – the iconic car that kids love so much - and drive along the roadway to each play area in the Village. From the Garage they move onto the Village Green around which all the playhouses are arranged, then stop off and have a play in the sand pit or with the activity gyms, climbers and slides, before moving onto the sports area for some active basketball practice, and then finally coming to a halt at the picnic area for a well deserved snack!

Should the weather happen to turn wet, all 'under fives' can simply transfer to the Indoor Play Area, filled with their favourite toys ranging from ride-ons and rocking horses to slides, activity gyms, kitchens and playhouses.

Other attractions at Beale Park include an adventure playground, roplay play, a pets area with rabbits, guinea pigs and lambs, an owlery, a walk-through aviary, deer park
A Wallaby in the animal park
and a fun train ride around the grounds giving visitors the chance to spot various other animals en route, including wallabies, Prairie Dogs, Meerkats, goats, yellow mongooses, and emus! Guests are very welcome to picnic in the picturesque gardens but if refreshments are needed, the child-friendly Peacock Restaurant serves hot and cold dishes, a children’s menu, drinks and ice creams.

There is certainly plenty to keep the whole family entertained but don’t worry if you run out of time - once Beale Park has been discovered, you are sure to make a return visit very soon.
