hi, i don't post often but require feedback from other people, i am a stay at home and i am thinking about starting a business selling photo cake and cupcake toppers and also make cakes. I am just interested how often people buy photo cake toppers or cakes made by other people and also how much would be the most you would pay for a cake topper. Thanks in advance for any feedback received x

Good luck hun. Personally I don't buy cakes toppers, but I had a quick look on ebay and they go for anything between £2-£5, so I guess that's about what I'd pay I only buy 'made' cakes (ie not from a shop) on special occasions and I pay around £30-£65 depending on the size.

I would buy them for a special birthday - 18th, 21st, etc. But they happen very rarely. Would even consider them for special wedding anniversaries - what a lovely keepsake. Have bought photo cakes in the past - again for special birthdays. And have bought occassion cakes for Ella's 1st and 2nd birthday. Probably would for the twins as well. xx
Thanks for your feedback really is appreciated, just trying to get my head around it all to see whether it would be cost effective, i suppose it would be just a case of word of mouth with the cakes mainly but the toppers they should be easy to post afar thanks again x
hiya, yeah you do need a special machine although they are not that expensive, have been seriously looking into this and think i am definately going to try it and give it my best shot. Thanks again for all your feedback x
