We've just had a conservatory put onto the back of our kitchen which we're going to put our dining table in and just ordered a new kitchen which should be done in approx 4 weeks. SO excited as we've had the current one since we bought the house 2 years ago and it really is in a horrible state, will make a lot more room for cupboards/worktop not having the table in there.
Thinking of painting the kitchen walls a teal colour. The cupboards are cream. Do you think this will go ok or be too dark? We aren't having tiles, just an upstand so planning on painting the bit between the upstand and overhead cupboards.

Our dining room has an archway to our kitchen & when we decorated it I wanted a cadbury purple, so I painted one wall in the dining room & one wall in the kitchen with the purple & the other 3 walls in each room magnolia to stop it being really dark. I've got loads of purple accessories too & I love it I suppose it depends on how much wall you will have showing & what colour your cupbards & worktops/upstand will be as to how dark it will look when done xx

Thanks! Purple sounds lovely. We have purple in our bedroom.
The worktop and upstand we're having is an oak effect laminate (solid wood too expensive), and with the cream cupboards hoping just having teal will be ok. If I think it looks too dark I can always paint over it with something lighter!
