Hiya Lori, I have the Avent Steriliser, you can buy the De-Scaling stuff from Mothercare. It's in Sachets and it tells you how to use it on the packet.

if you cant find any in mothercare, boots have some also avent online sell them too. its easy to use, mix the sachet with water and put into unit for certain amount of time.
you can descale the bottle warmer with it too
hi hun,
you can descale it with a mixture of a little vinegar, water and juice of a lemon, was recommended this by hv and it worked for me otherwise you can get sachets of stuff from boots, chemist, mothercare, maybe even other baby stores. hth

i deicided to buy a steam steriliser this time as i didnt know about the descaling sachets n my last 1 got ruined, o got the sachets in mothercare, it says descale every 4 weeks and it was only £2.39 for 6 sachets... so 6 months supply, although the water here is very hard so ill prob have to do it more often!
I have the avent steraliser and follow their instructions on descaling (citric acid) i bought mine of ebay in a 100g pack you only need a small amount so that pack will last the whole time ill use the steraliser, and it was soooo much cheaper than buying it in sachets from various stores.
