Well I've been trying with Lewis since he was 2 years old lol! He started off really well showing all the signs that he was ready to be trained and then he took about ten steps back!
They usually say the toddler tells you, maybes will complain they are wet, want their nappy off etc. It's good to encourage with a potty if they will use one (Lewis and a potty are a huge no no lol) and just take it from there.

I tried just after Ella turned 2. She showed all the signs, but after a wonderful start, a day later she was back in nappies. I tried again just as she turn 2.5yrs exactly. Again same as first time. We tried again when she was 2 yr 8 months and total succes within less than a week. She is 3 next week and still has the odd accident though. I know of kids who were 3 and still not trained and also know of others trained before they were even 2! Go with your child and let them dictate to you. Dont get too stressed by it, starting early or when they not ready may set them back. Also try not to start when a big event in their life is about to start - new house, new baby etc Good luck xx

The three girls were all 2.5, Lucas was nearer to 3. I tried Elijah when she was just over 2 and she totally freaked out, so I stopped and went at her pace. I went at their own pace with the other 3.
My eldest Akela I tried when she turned 2 but she was always terrified of the potty for some reason and never felt comfortable till she was 3 yrs 2 months and it took 3 weeks for total success and we have never looked back . My middle daughter Skylar however took to it like a duck to water age 2 yrs 5 months she told me she was ready and was fantastic still have a pull up in bed she will be 3 in may . So usually they will let you know hun . x

It's National Baby Massage Week 13-18 May, and it's got me fondly reminiscing about the wonderful baby massage classes I took my two boys to when they were tiny.
