Well the twins are almost 4 months old so thought was long overdue for a wee update for you all.
The colic has finally subsided - colief became our lifesaver! However neither girl feeds the best even yet. Feeding times are still a bit of a fight, but think it is more a case that they are just not that hungry. So unlike the hungry horrace Ella. By this stage with Ella, she was already weaned and desperate to be on the mince and tatties. This pair are nowhere near ready yet.
They are delevopling well - regardless of the fact they are wee preemies. Katie is a real smiler and giggles at everyone who happens into her line of sight. Abbie's smiles are a little more precious as they are given out so rarely! Abbie is desperate to sit up on her own, and is pulling her self up. Also when help upright, she already knows what to do with her feet, and loves trying to climb up people. Katie is far lazier - clearly happy to let everyone else do the running about for her
The down side is both girls are teething at the moment and clearly are in agony :( Poor wee souls.
Sleeping is another issue. They take their last bottle about 8pm and go straight to sleep after it. They then go for about 8 hours, and the next feed is about 4am. Any time we try to change the feeding times to get the to sleep 8 hours from 11 to 7 they refuse to feed :( The last few nights they have changed their feeding pattern and now have their last feed at 10pm. However rather than sleeping 8 hours and getting up at 6, they still wake at 4am   Wee horrors.
Ella just loves the twins, and is always asking to hold them. Things are mega hectic, but getting there. Solve the feeding problem and things could start to be easy.
xx

Things will get easier. They were premature, so they are still very young.
You are doing a brilliant job with them all, a toddler and small twins must be very hard work!

Getting there slowly, but surely then! Need to catch up soon. Peter's hours have all changed so I'm still confused as to when he's off and when he's home! Once Jaidyn's in school all day in September, popping over will become a regular thing, I promise (or should that be more of a threat )

thanks Audrey. Yvonne def need that wee catch up soon. Will drop you and Sal a wee text next week to organise it. As for popping over - you're always welcome. Cant believe Jaidyn will be in P1 in a few weeks. I've started telling Ella about her going to nursery. She points out the school every time we go to my mums. Think she quite excited. Mum made a comment yesterday that scared me - "2 years from now and I will be school clothes shopping and starting to prepare twins for starting nursery!" arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
xx

Ahh sounds like you're doing a great job, I can't imagine what it must be like with 3 that age, though I do look forward to another already. Babies/children are great!

Thanks mum for wishing their lives away :lol:
Doesn't seem like 2 years since I was getting Jaidyn ready to start nursery! Someone stop the hands of ruddy time!!
I think I've got Peter's hours sorted in my head!! He is off every Sunday & Monday now and every other Saturday & Tuesday too! So basically this week he was off yesterday & today, then he's off Sat-Tues, then Sun & Mon, then Sat-Tues etc etc. Once Jaidyn start full time I'll have whole days free just for me and no-one else! WOOO!!
