I find the oxfam shops quite expensive and the ones local to us only ever have junk in them.
I try to go to the ones that support local charities, our local hospice one has had so much stuff from us over the years that I swear we've sponsored a ward LOL
I guess your best bet is to ask on a London based website.

Oxfam are far too commercial and expensive and don't send as much to the charities as other charity shops. Look for local charity shops that donate to local charites, they tend to be the best as most of the money thet raise goes to the charities.
We have a fab local one that has absolutely evrything from clothes to 3 piece suites!!!

I agree Oxfam is really overpriced. I love browsing in the charity shops! You can usually pick up some really unique bits and pieces!

Hi Anne,

if you ever feel like a day trip to Rochester the high street is full of little antique shops - and plenty of places to stop for tea/coffee/cake etc. Just make sure you don't go when the Dickens or spring festivals are on as it gets really crowded (and the spring festival is essentially a gathering of morris dancers - a bit terrifying if you aren't expecting it :D )

Hi Anne, end of March at the latest - we need to get Theo a passport first! Can't believe that I need to get a passport for him to travel from one area of the UK to another  Would be great to meet up once I'm back over that way :D

Hopeful, have you tried any of the NCT nearly new sales yet? They are great for getting anything baby related.

You can find out where your local ones are on here.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried a couple in London - there aren't any really close to me - and have picked up a few toys and a travel cot but all the good stuff goes really quickly. :(
