Hi ladies i hope i can get some advice

My husband and i became pregnant with our son within one month of trying in 2003.

We have now been trying for another baby for nearly a year without any luck. we are both in very good health and do not understand why we may not be getting preganat.

Has anyone been through a similar experience and any help would be really appreciated

hi, and welcome to our friendly forum!
I am Vicky - mum of 3.

Sometimes it takes a while to get pregnant, maybe you could try something to tell you when you are ovulating - may increase your chances?

There will be others on here that know more - i had no probs conceiving my 2nd or 3rd child.

Good luck!! hope to speak again soon!!

Hiya & welcome to the forum :D

I'm sorry, I have not experienced having problems concieveing but I know some of the other ladies on the site have. I just wanted to say that, like Toes said, it can sometimes take a while to concieve, I would also maybe suggest an Ovulation Prediction Kit of some sort so then you know that you are trying on the right dates. That might give you a better chance of getting pregnant.

I wish you loads of luck & hope you manage to get pregnant very soon.

Hi im going through this at the moment, but i have miscarried twice already so i know i can concieve it keeping the thing thats the hard bit!

I am now trying every thing from abstaining from alcohol, cutting any stress to a minimum, using wild yam cream to enhance my labido and progesterone levels i have even gone as far as to cut down on caffine which is a massive thing for me.

I hope that you will be posting on the "Im pregnant" forum very soon i have my fingers crossed for us both

I've fortunate enough that I concieved very easily all 3 times.
But this time round I took Evening Primrose Oil. I took 1000mg (2x500mg capsules as they're easier to swallow! ) You take them once a day from cd1 and then stop the day before Ovulation.
They help regulate your cycle and increase fertile cervical mucus. I took them for about 5 months before we ttc, but i only found out recently they help in ttc! I took them for PMT

Also I bought some cheap OPK's from ebay/access diagnostics and used those to pinpoint ovulation so we knew we were dtd around the right time.

(i used to ovulate day 14/15 but this time round I ovulated day 12!! so im glad I got them otherwise we be dtd too late and missing ovulation every month)

Good Luck, Hope this Helps :D
