My daughter is 7 months in 10 days time and we started weaning 3 weeks ago but we are no further on now than when we first started. She seems disgusted by being spoon fed but will happily eat toast and the organix sweetcorn rings because she is doing it herself.
She has been very sick the last few weeks too which hasn't helped and tests showed she had cryptosporidium (a parasite in her intestine) but certain things are making her sick so we are trying to rule out a milk allergy.

I'm after idea of foods I can give her so she can feed herself but obviously foods that are suitable for her age.

Thanks x

i was amazed at my nephew eating a chipolata sausage at that age, he bit top off suck out filling and left the skin lol so maybe something like this just keep a eye on her

Thank you for your reply, I shall try her with soft fruits and some cheese (I assume the cheese would have to be grated?)

I went to a baby weaning class and they recommended that finger foods should be started roughly when a baby has been eating purees or things for round about 3 weeks. The average baby doesnt get weaned until 6 month.

They recommend things like cucumber because its quite soft, cooked pasta shapes, hard boiled eggs cut into quarters, sticks of mild cheese.

The annabel karmel book is really good for ideas on all different stages of weaning. Try whacking the name into google and seeing what you find :D

Good luck :D
