 Sounds like you've got your work cut out there. My daughter Stacey is 11 months and she is scared to death of everything when we go anywhere so she won't venture far from me when we go anywhere even family or friends but she is the complete opposite when we are at home I am constantly on the go. She has older brothers and sisters who are constantly leaving saftey gates open, etc. and if I don't watch her she is off like lightening  (Its like she senses it)

my living room looks like toys r us and theres a stair gate on every entrance/exit.....I share your pain and dont go to friends or families houses unless I know they are childproof as I think its unfair my boy should be cooped up in his pushchair when all he wants to do is waste some energy....I even tried taking all the boys to playzone to burn some energy but my little 13 month old still has energy till he is ready to nap so trying to tire him out before he is ready just doesnt work :( oh the joys! Good luck and have fun while it lasts
