We have been thinking about doing an article of some kind about birth horror stories and it would be good to hear some of your experiences. If you write about the birth/births in your Baby Blog then just post the link here so that we can see it. Otherwise just write about it in this thread. Looking forward to reading about your experiences.

Mine wasn't much of a horror story. It was quite comical really, especially after Geoff fed me the banana. I stopped using the gas and air, and every contraction thereafter became a game. I had to try not to throw up in the pool, and Geoff and to try to catch it in the paper bowl. We mastered it so well that every contraction was a military operation!

I know it's not a horror story, but it's here if anyone wants a giggle: http://www.thebabywebsite.com/viewBirth ... &hp_id=630

I know! I was so surprised, i didn't realise they don't always work.

They wheeled me down to theatre and gave me a spinal block which gave instant relief, i was so scared it wasn't gonna work tho

Hi,

For my first baby, the birth was HORRIBLE!! i was enduced on the tuesday then went into labour on the wednesday, oww it was horrible the pain was unreal everyone else on the ward was bouncing on the balls reading a magazine and i couldnt even sit down or move. It wasnt fair. When i finally got to 9 1/2 cetermeters they found she was facing the wrong way i then had an epidural and was rushed down to have a c-section as her heart rate was dipping dangerously low. She was finaly born 3 days after i went into labour. I saw her for an hour then they whisked her away to the SCUBU unit because of suspected meningitus. She was on anti-biotics in hospital for two weeks before i could take her home.

Overall it was the worst experiance of my life but also the best because i finally met my daughter.

Vanessa x
