I have just been on Amazon to order Rohan some Thomas curtains and a lampshade for his bedroom.
As you prob know, Amazon make "recommendations" for you based on your recent buying/browsing trends.
I was looking through these recommendations and tidying it up, and I came across a Thomas toddler bed, a little wooden blue bed with Thomas on the bottom. Really cute, and it was showing as 99p. Obviously, I thought it was strange and obviously a misprint, but decided to have a look further, and no, it was definately 99p.
Thinking "WHAT A FECKIN BARGAIN" - I promptly added one to my basket, and by this point I was sure it was a mistake, however I also know that even if it is you are protected under law that they have to sell you it at this price.
Feeling chuffed with myself, I added it and went to the checkout. I nearly wee'd myself with excitement, not difficult at the mo considering my foof has fell out!
The bed IS 99p, but get this - the postage and packaging is £89.99!!
Why oh why do companies do this!! Its such false advertising, but then I suppose they are not doing anything illegal as they are selling the product for the price stated. I would have been happy to pay £20-30 for delivery, but £90!
So, essentially the bed is £90. Why do they do this??
Cheap airlines are the same, reel you in with a ridiculous price and then add on loads with taxes and baggage! Makes me mad
