I think my teenage son has become addicted to them.... In the last month alone he has complained of 'loose toilet' making me think his cleanliness was to blame and that he was trying to pull a fast one to get out of school until this morning when I found a reciept from the shop showing 2 cans of monster energy drink so I decided after asking him over the weekend if he had drunk any (and his reply was obviously not) that I would look online for answers..... low and behold monster energy drinks can cause upset tummy and insomnia and even anxiety (all of which has contributed to my moody child over the last month) so is there any other parents out there suspect their kids of this or do I suffer alone???? Oh and I hope if anyone else out there suspects the same, I have now helped to shine a light as I was so worried my son needed a doctor but looks like I will have to ground him and ween him off these vile drinks!

I think these are a nightmare! There so easy to get hold of and are easy to get addicted too! Somebody I used to work with, her son went through the same problem. He got panic attacks and anxiety too. Think the best thing to do at the minute is make sure he isn't getting them and make him go the cold turkey route! Maybes speak to your GP too? They should really come with an age limit on them!
