My little one was the same, she ended up 8 oz every feed, my hv said not to put her on hungrier baby, she said try and perservere with her, give her more oz's! I ignored her and put Lacey onto hungrier baby at about 11 weeks it was bliss, worked a treat x

I put my son on hungry milk when he was only about 6 wks as he was just wanting more and more and once he was on it he was alot more settled into a feeding routine. But this is going back 8yrs ago. I know my friend that has just had a baby and is having the same problem said her health visiter didnt recommend it. Its worth asking your health visiter for advice but just remember thats all it is advice and no one knows your baby better than yourself. Would love to know why they dont recomend it now tho so if you find out can you let me know please x

Hi i think they dont reccommend it that young as it is harder to digest and could cause constipation. Also if you use it now you havent got a next stage to turn to if you need something else in a couple of months.
How often are you feeding?

I dont know wat i can suggest to this 1 although i do think 5 weeks is a bit early my health visitor moved mya on to hugry babie milk at night at 4 months and comfort during day with ehr being prem it was too heavy for her tummy. But my opinion on it is it made mya a VERY sicky babie didnt digest properly and made her sick alot after a bottle. also bloated her too so i stopped and told hv i want to move her on to the second stage of comfort and she was soon managing that better. But that was with mya using it at 4 months. my sil also put her wee boy on it recently and hes 4 months and it made him very sicky too. but hunni do wat ur hv says every child is different. But i do agree with 1 of the lassies u put them on it now they will not have a second stage to go to later. Neo natal said to me too its normal for a baby up to weeks and weeks old to feed regular like every 3/4 hours its there routine doesnt neccesarly mean that there not getting enough but as i said every baby is different only u will now hunni iam just going by wat neo natal told me with mya and hv. xx Good luck hunni

Ella was the exact same ( and even at 16 months could still eat for Scotland) We moved her onto to stage 2 milk fairly early - cant remeber exactly when but long long before 4 months. I even struggled to hold off giving her solids till 16 weeks when I gave in and fed her. Pre solids, Ella was on 7 or 8 9oz bottles a day. Chat to your HV but at the end of the day you know best. I ignored all the usless stuff HV told me and went with instincts and Ella was ill for the first time last weekend with a virus. She never had any tummy problems, had sickness bug once but I had it at same time, and only a few colds in her life. Good luck xx

Well, it depends on the baby's condition and even on how old he/she is like, if a baby is too small that is below 4 month then he/she should be on mother's milk as, hungry milk or any other milk will be hard to digest. But, yes after 4 to 5 months we can give them this milk but, it needs to consulted first with the doctor.
