Can you believe my twinnies are now 15 months old??????????????
Both are doing brilliantly now. Both are walking, and where Katie is far better at walking, Abbie is far far far superior at climbing!!! Abbie can actually climb up Ella's chute (one of the large ones that stands about 3 and half feet tall!!!!) and then slides down. I swear she is a demon. It is a real struggle to get them to stay in their pram nowadays, as they want to walk everywhere. argh! Only good thing is they tend to follow each other rather than wander in opposite directions. It is a nightmare everytime you open a door though, cos as soon as you have retrieved one toddler, the other has disappeared out, and thus continues until you lock one inside while you retrieve the other - thus dealing with 2 hysterically screaming toddlers.
Can I just *stick 2 fingers up* at the midwife who insists my twinnies remain a high priority case for her to visit every month cos they were premies and will always be developmentally slower than their term peers!!!!!!!!! I think I am proving the exact opposite xx

Aye it certainly does Yvonne. Thanks Jess, I hardly seems like yesterday that I sent Yvonne the text saying they were on there way, or that they had appeared They are real wee toddlers now. xxx
Sounds like they're doing great! Jack is 15.5 months and still not walking, not that I'm in any rush!!! He has just started standing on his own and has been cruising for a while and is very proud of himself, just still a little wobbly and not quite confident to walk yet. Though he did kind of take a step today before falling down. Bless.

I wouldn't worry too much about that Sarah. I am testament to every child is different. Ella ( who was born at just 37 weeks) was walking with our hands for support by 9 months, and independantly before she was a year old. Yet my friends have an elder boy and twin boys. Their eldest Finlay (who was 42 weeks gestation) didn't walk a step until about 19 months, and her twins (at 37 weeks) one walked at 16 months and the other didn't even stand up on his own until 21 months. With my 2, Katie was crawling for a good few months before Abbie even attempted it, and even though both are walking, Abbie is better at pointing out some body parts and Katie has no interest. He will walk in his own time, remember my 2 are motivated to get up and chase / run away from Ella xxx

It's National Baby Massage Week 13-18 May, and it's got me fondly reminiscing about the wonderful baby massage classes I took my two boys to when they were tiny.
