Hi

My little boy has just turned 5 months and I have decided to wean him at 6 months following the baby led weaning principles (I've just read Gill Rapley's book and it's fab!!). I can't wait to have him sit with us at the table and eat dinner. Has anyone got any experience of baby led weaning? I'd love to hear how people have found it and any advice / tips you have to offer. Also, it would be great if anyone could recommend a high chair that easily pulls up to the table - I'm baffled by the choice but quite fancy a wood effect one so it blends in with the dining room furniture.

I'm going on a family holiday next week (wedding in Jamaica) so there will be lots of my partners family and I know that I will get pressure about weaning. I've already had a few comments that he should be eating by now but he's fully breastfed, chubby and perfectly happy - I just find it difficult to say 'back off' lol. :lol:

I don't have any tips on baby led weaning, but I do know of a highchair which pulls right up to the table - my friend has the Loop highchair from Mamas & Papas. It turns round 360 degrees, & comes up the the table plus adjusts in height, but its not made of wood (sort of charcoal coloured plastic from memory) but I thought it was worth mentioning in case you can't find a wood one...
