Iphones do not like to swim!

Rushing about yesterday getting everyone into the car so I could drop them at my mums for my eyebrow wax, Ella announces that she needs the toilet. I already had put the potty in the car and her, so quickly lifted her out and rushed her into the house. As I bent down to sort her out, I forgot I had put my phone in back pocket of my jeans, and yep you guessed it! Splash!!!!!!!!!!!! Down the toilet it went
After consulting some forums, we tried to dry it out with my hairdryer and have sat it in a warm room since yesterday. But it still wont power up We are going into Apple store tomorrow to see what they can do - and no will not be saying how it got wet
SO I am currently without phone not good seeing as mum, dad, Heather and her BF Brian went to Florida today and would normally text to say they arrived. H suggested me going and taking hers till I get something sorted or my dad's but will wait and see what Apple say tomorrow. Am fully expecting a big fat NO to the repair, and having to buy a new phone (Neil is refusing a new phone till iphone5 comes out in October ) How will I cope 2 full months with no contact with anyone
I feel like I have lost an arm or soemthing

I dropped my phone down the loo too Fi. Took it apart and stuck it in the airing cupboard for a few days and hey presto!
Megan, however, got her phone wet in a Foam Party in Magaluf ( - no comment!) and it has well & truly died a death!

Apparently as I tried to press buttons when it was wet it prob wont work - according to what i have read on the internet.
How will I cope - no facebook or TBW while feeding the twins. Unless I have to resort to Neil's ipad during feeding times. But a bit bulky to carry about with me

It is official I The apple store in Glasgow.

Went in yesterday - the place was mobbed, very hot and smelly. Air con broken which explains heat, but it was very stale sweaty smell. Not nice - I suppose to many nerds in one place does that
Anyhoo, spoke to a wee man, who said water damage normally costs £139 - kind of what we had expected. But for a one off, I would get a new phone FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( ok so it is probably a refurbished one but who cares - it was free and it works ) So i skipped out the shop like a happy wee bunny

Being extra careful with my phone from now on though
