Can anybody give me ideas on what to buy my mum for xmas please??

She is a difficult one to buy for. She is a type 1 diabetic so chocs and alot of treats are off the menu. She is a technophobe too so no mobile phone or anything like that will be any good.
She is not into fashion so clothes are no good, and she doesnt follow any trends.

HELP

We usually opt for a personalised calender, but she frames all the pics at the end of the year and she is running out of wall space!
She collects pigs but again, cant fit anymore in!
Argggh

What about a lovely food hamper of her favourite foods?

I'm the same, get totally stuck on what to buy my mam. She likes to follow fashion so always have a back up route, but she's very picky! Might just get her vouchers but then you feel like you haven't actually bought them anything There's no winning is there?

teehee my mum is so easy compared to the bother you are having
She loves a wee pedicure, so vouchers for that are handy. A cheeky wee spa day - get some fab deals on wahanda or groupon etc - and of course make sure it is for 2 and you have to go with her.
Pampering at her local salon - my mum was apprehensive about this initially and now loves it.
nightdress, slippers, housecoat
scarf, gloves, new coat for the winter
perfume / body lotion.
a photo shoot with a professional photographer for the whole family and then she has a finished photo for her wall - check out boots experience days for that or again groupon etc for a cheeky wee deal
Something for the house - new plates, pots, cushions, etc
a big bunch of flowers delivered to the house on Christmas day
new shoes - my mum loves the echo shoes
new handbag - get a designer one like Radley
passport holder - again you get lovely radley ones
umbrella
a kindle if she reads lots
holiday vouchers or a wee weekend away just you and her. Check out deal websites again. Up here we have coach trips called David Urqhart and Caledonian that leave from near us to lake district etc for just 2 days. My mum loves these so a fabby present - plus if she needs someone to go with you could go. Or let her go on her own - mum says there are always people on their own and are fully included in the group

jigsaw puzzles - large box of various puzzles
a photo book of all your favourite photos - all the family not just the kids. Even try to get some of her as a wee girl and any of her brothers and sisters etc.

slow cooker
door mat - my aunt and uncles were the top Scottie Dog breaders in the whole of Europe until recently. We all love our Scotties. I managed to find a Scottie dog door mat and door stop for my Aunt Margaret's Christmas a few years ago. You could find pig shaped one maybe.

clock for living room / mantlepiece

sounds a bit daft - but for my mums 60th we built a bear in the bear factory for her. Dressed him in full highland dress and she loves it. Sits pride of place in her living room even now!

haha i got mum earings, socks, pix of girls in a frame lol! what about a photo album? tht way it dont take up wall space and she can keep it near to look at the piccies! i fink she'll like tht sis! xx
