I have a very stupid question ladies
How many bottles should a 6 month old have in a day? Twins are still on 5 x 7oz (although they often only take 4 or 5 each bottle). So fed 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm and 11pm. That last feed has pretty much always required us to wake the girls to take feed. When should we try dropping them to 4 bottles a day?
For the life of me I can't remember what we did with Ella. Plus she was on 6x9oz bottles by 4 months and still starving grubber hehe
I know they probably the lower end of the scale that they supposed to take in a day -think it 24 - 32 oz a day. But they won't Take anymore, and not giving them 11pm feed would keen extra sleep for us - and maybe the chance to watch a film or just spend time together.

hiya just thought i would reply, my little girl is only 1 and im already forgetting lol but at around six months she was down to 4 feeds but she hardly had any she only drank about 5oz each time but i had dropped that night feed... felt soo good knowing i could go to bed as early as i liked without having to wake up hehe hope that jogged your memory a little bit x

Id try dropping the 11pm feed, it sounds like a dream feed if your having to wake them up. Lewis was already weaning by 6 months so think he was on 4-5 bottles a day on the extra hungry milk because he was such a horace lol

thanks ladies. Neil taking a wee week off work very soon, so gonna drop feed then. At the moment he is staying up to do the feed on his own, and I go to my bed
They aint the hungriest girls in the world and were prem so trying to hold off a wee bit. Have started weaning, but they still only on 3 spoonfuls of baby rice once a day - not ventured onto anything else yet . By rights they are actually only 4 months old just now hehee

Sounds like dropping the 11pm fed is a good idea, enjoy the extra sleep or time together!
