Hi all! Am totally new to this so not sure how it works, guess I was just looking for some support, am 38, have one daughter who is 10 but with a different partner now and we've been ttc for a year, just wondered if anyone else gets fed up with cycle after cycle of having lots of sex, getting your hopes up, getting to that few days before period due and starting to daydream (what if?), imaging pregnancy symptoms and then feeling totally bereft when you get your period.... cycle starts again! Omg, I am chilled most of the time but have just started spotting and cramping around period time and just think, oh crap, here we go again! We've started talking about going to the GP to get some advice, am so desperate for a child as is my partner and I guess it would be nice to hear some success stories to keep my morale up!
Love and hugs,
Missy Jules xoxo

Hello :) . I'm not in the same boat as you but I didn't want to read & run. If it's been a year, I probably would nip to the doctor for a quick chat though as i think they say to wait 12 months. If nothing else it will set your mind at reast....
Take care...
K xx

Thank you for your reply, nothing doing since the spotting last night, my tummy just feels sore not period crampy though, weird feeling! After tom i would be officially late by my longest cycle so Will see what happens and maybe do a test! Almost don't want to though as have had enough of the negative tests, just want to bury my head in the sand this time and assume I'm not pregnant! Baby dust to anyone in the same boat reading this xoxo

When we were trying for our first we tried for almost 15 months. It was awful and I can totally sympathise with you.
I do agree with Kathryn after a year start the process of getting it checked out. We had started the process and I ended up needing a laproscopy. While recovering from the op we stopped trying and lo and behold I fell pregnant.
Think the advice I can genuinely say is don't try :)
Good luck chick, remember we are here if you need a shoulder to lean on
Xxx

Blimey, a success story, that's brilliant! You're right I know, for now though my head is in the sand, I am ignoring the spotting that's continued for a bit today and pretending nothing is happening (fingers in ears la la la la la!). Thanks for your support, its been cool finding this place and reading about others experiences xoxo

Just enjoy practising. I am proof if you don't try you achieve. The twins were conceived while I was on the pill and we had no notion of trying for another ( maybe in about year time) but they had arrived before our time frame for starting to try again ooooooops teehee
Good luck

Just a thought but the spotting could be implantation bleeding.
Good luck! X
