Ella currently attends nursery 5 afternoons a week ( government funded place). As she started I had applied for her to be transferred in August to a monring place for her preschool year (my baby goes to school in August 2013 )
I know the system having worked as a nursery teacher myself, so knew the chances were slim and would probably end up being a ballot for places.
This was the case and Ella's name didn't come out the ballot She still has her afternoon place, and is now 4th on the waiting list for a morning place. I was told by DHT that she may get a place before Christmas, but feel that is too late as she will be leaving in 6 months later to start school.
Oh well, knew it was a long shot - only asked to allow twins to continue going to toddlers, and other wee classes that Ella had attended at their age. Mum and Aunt M cannot take twins to the classes, whilst also looking after Ella
Now my next challenge get her to continue enjoying nursery after the holidays when all her wee friends from just now have left and gone to school

Good luck hun Louis had an afternoon place and we wanted morning after contacting the school about our situations they put Louis on mornings. hth.

Aww, that's a shame. I haven't been informed of the time slot for Zac's nursery place for September yet. I am hoping for mornings though but I don't suppose it matters either way as I'm still up & down the school 3 times a day & I've got used to him doing afternoons at the nursery he's at now (it's a childrens centre nursery which is attached to the school, but he's moving to the school nursery in September)

That's a shame. She should still be able to go to toddlers with the other two, as long as it's not too much hassle for whoever has them! When Jaidyn was wee (yeah like she's big now ), there were twins at the toddlers and their brother was an afternoon nursery and he was always around, was actually a huge help bless him!

She still goes to toddlers just now Yvonne, but to be honest she is bored - everything to babyish for her. She spends the 2 hours sitting on my mums knee, so waste of time taking her.
Although with the fighting at toddlers at the moment, think mum secretly pleased she will have to stop going
All her friends go to school in August though, so will see how she copes without them. Mind you Mitchell will still be there, so probably not bother her. The Nursery nurses are already planning their outfits and hats for the first nursery wedding

Sounds like Jaidyn and her best friend Scott. She informed me they are getting married when they turn 16! Better start saving, only just over 10 years to go!!!

Hope everything works out for you Fi. We're still waiting to hear about Lewis. I have a gut feeling we won't get it though. Don't know why
