Hi all, This is just my second month off the pill. I decided that since I no longer can judge when I will get my period I bought a packet of ovulations sticks during the week. After one week on Monday morning at 12.30 I got a postive line. Unfortunately my husband was away that night so we could not have baby making time.

My question is

We had sex Sunday night/monday morning about 2 in the morning, I got a positive line at 12.30 that morning. Even though I did not have sex the afternoon of the line but did the few hours before it am I covered. I had sex last night as well. (next night after line)

so to recap

Sun/Mon Night 2.00 in morning - had sex
Monday morning 12.30 - Positive line - no sex that day
Tuesday night - had sex.

Im just unsure about the ovuation stick. They say u can ovulate 12 hours after LH surge so would I have missed my chance. How do you know the surge didnt happen hours before you test. God its all so scientific.

Any thoughts. sorry I know im ranting but im new to all this.

Sorry I'm completely useless at this, never used ovulation kits and only really have a rough idea of how they work too.

Sometimes after being on the pill it can take a while for your cycle to return to normal even though you can still fall pregnant. It's still very early on trying so relax and enjoy it.
Fingers crossed you get that BFP soon enough!

We tried ovulation kits when trying for Ella. No luck - we spent loads on them and according to them I never once ovulated in 6 months I even tried the thermometer to check my temperature spike to indicate my ovulating, according to the thermometer I ovulated constanly as my temperature was up everyday
