So pleased admin have set up the forum When i had rosie back in Jan 8 weeks early. I found hardly no forum's for premmies. I was lost i had so many questions and needed surrport. I hated asking questions when at the nicu as just wanted to spend every second Talking and holding rosie. I will post my prem story later in the hope it will help others who face having a premmie. Iv have done a blog and her birth story so people r welcome to view them. Im sure ill be back soon with my premmie questions  xx

The twins are wee premies too, and like you felt I was asking questions constantly in Neo natal, and even now feel as if badgering HV. It is so hard knwing what is right - as Ella never had the problems the twins have had. Even though Ella was early at 37 weeks she was classed as term
xx

Aww bless how early was they. Im like that we r still under the nicu nurse at the min as she isnt doing to good with ehr weight. My ds2 was 36+6 but they classed him as term as he was only a few mins off being 37 weeks.
The whole thing corrected age and birth age confusses me i never know what age i use for things. Like i find bbay milk she is on her corrected age so when do i wean her birth age 6 months or correct age so will be 8 months but correct 6. Im alway ringing hv or nurse i worrie over every little thing. She is the furst one of my 3 children to have a recation to her jabs Its amazing how diffrent u have to treat prem the littlest thing upsets them xx

Hi

We had our son in february 6 weeks early but he's doing well just found this site today and I'm expecting again so fingers crossed but after reading I see a lot of others with 2 or 3 early babies. Just wondered if your little girl at 4 months is interested in toys yet, mine doesn't seem bothered at all :)

Two out of my 3 children was prem. Jake was 8 weeks early and Leann was 9 weeks early. Thankfully due to a trial i was put on or just by chance Lily-Mae was born at 1 day off 37 weeks [smilie=clap.gif] The way i got the corrected age is take the weeks the baby was off early the age baby is now, dont know if thats correct, so i guess even after 2 premies it still confuses me. They do this till baby is about 1 yr so they dont show behind in development. But regarding weaning (iron levels) and injections they go on actual age of baby.

Its amazing how quick they catch up thought :D

I've known a few people who had premature babies and they were born the same time as Oscar. It's amazing how different prem babies are and who differently they need to be treated. Oscar was full term, born a day after his due date, and weighed 10lbs. His 'friends' were born 6-9 weeks early, weighed only 4-5 lbs each, and were less than half the size of Oscar. Yet now they all look so healthy you'd never know they were prem babies at all. :D
