So i haven't been online much the last few days as I tend to do most of it at night and I've had my mum staying with us (and computer is in spare room where she stays...)
So anyway it was nice having her to stay and both the little ones loved playing with her, but she was meant to be here to help me out for a few days wheile I got the house sorted ready for decorating ... and now she's gone theres more to do that when she arrived!

I know I sound really ungrateful but whenever she comes to 'help' us out she ends up being more of a hinderence and getting in the way, she gets the little ones out of their routine, contredicts my rules, moves random things around and then leaves half her stuff in our tiny house that is full of two much stuff anyway!

I s it just me or is anyone elses family like this??

lol, i find my mum and mil help is better when the children go to them, never to sleep over but
just keeps them out the way while we get things done

Hello! I often heard from parent friends of mine having the same problem as you do. I was just wondering if you already had a talk with your mom regarding your rules when you asked her for help. If not yet, it helps a lot to talk to her first on your parenting rules and sticking with it before asking her to come over for help. Giving her a daily routine list of your baby's schedule including any baby activities/bonding activities for your mom to follow and guide her may be of help. l Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! My mum's a couple of hours drive away so not very easy to have them at hers!

She knows their routine and the rules just doesn't stick to them! lol!

It was actually great to have her stay, the little ones really enjoyed being spoilt by Nanna! I just didn't get much done!
