Hi all, am relatively new here - I have always read the articles but thought I would venture ono the forum now too!
I wanted to give a big to anyone that has found their own way to suppliment the household income as over recent years everything has gone up except the normal wage coming home.
I tried Usborne books and unfortunately it wasn't for me as there were already so many sellers in my area (I went to one fair and there were 3 of us there ). Instead I have found that mystery shopping adds a little extra money as well as being fun (but it very difficult to make it a decent regular income) and police line ups are also another irregular alternative if you have a local suite and someone you can trust to mind your little one for 40 mins.
I have been really lucky. Since moving 2 years ago (with only 6 weeks to go b4 my youngest daughter arrived) I have been given a job in the local village hall which, although doesn't pay much, allows me to take my children with me while I sort the place out for bookers. The local pre-school is also based in the village hall and they have also offered me a small post there too.
I guess my ramblings are just my ways of saying, look between the lines and there may be an opportunity where you least expect it. The next village down the road from us are also advertising for someone to work at their Village hall too, and I really hope that it can do someone in the same position as us a good turn.

Welcome to the forum hun. Sounds like you've found the perfect solution with the village hall and the pre-school, who knows where you'll be in a few years time!!

It's National Baby Massage Week 13-18 May, and it's got me fondly reminiscing about the wonderful baby massage classes I took my two boys to when they were tiny.
