I'm considering making my own wedding invites! Have looked online and some places want roughly £6 per invite! Em yes you wish lol!

Been talking to my friend who gets married next year and she was saying she went to a supplier got lovely card, pearls, lace, diamontes and all the craft things she will need (glue, scissors etc) and she is making her own costing about £1 per invite! Obviously would need to go to a printer for the detail on it but again she has told me somewhere that costs £8 for 50 invites.
See the thing is I'm not a craft person at all! Im all fingers and thumbs, anybody who sees my wrapping can vouch for this lol! But thinking if I draft in helpers (ie-bridesmaids) I could get them done nice?

Just in two minds of what to do! Thinking if I give it a try I'm not loosing anything, do a few trial runs see what I think of different colours designs and stuff and go from there.
Anybody who is artistic and craft who can offer and advice?

I'm doing my sisters Wedding Invites. I bought these:

I then buy some very thin fancy paper from Ebay as Inserts which I print myself.

I then decorate the front either with something printed from the printer or by buying some craft things. Ribbon is nice, fancy string is nice too (tying the knot) etc.

I've done a few (including my own) so can help if you have any particular questions. Another good thing to buy are glue dots instead of messing with pritt stick etc.

Still got it in my mind about doing them.

Thanks for the advice amanda, going to look at a few more ideas in the new year and then see what I think. Definitely think its something I will go ahead with to save some money.
