I'm stressed today - very stressed. Maddie needed to leave the house today at 8.30 to get a train to Cambridge for a uni interview. The train was going from our local station at 8.55. She needed to leave early as the car was frosted up etc etc. Anyway 8.45 she managed to leave which was cutting it fine (very fine) and rang from the station to say 'Mum I've left my make-up bag and brush behind, can you bring it down?'. Ummm - no!! You'll miss the train if you wait for us to come down with it and then you'll miss the connection' . Then she texts that her phone isn't charged and so she can only do a few texts before it cuts out. I told her to buy new make up in Boots at Paddington and she'd be ok. But who knows! She has to change at Paddington, go on the tube to Kings Cross and then train to Cambridge. Exam this afternoon and two interviews tomorrow. They are giving her accomodation for tonight and she's coming back tomorrow afternoon. Trouble is I can't text or talk to her. Arghhh!! She's so blonde!!

God I just know Elijah will be the same in a few years time!! She takes her phone out with her, but never turns it on unless she wants to use it so I can't get in contact with her!! Honestly what is the flippin' point of the phone?!!
I really hoped she'd get better as she got older, but by the sounds of it she won't!! Kids eh, who'd have them?

She did get there on time. Just phoned briefly to say first interview was horrendous and now has a second subject interview at 1. Hope she makes the train back on time as Paddington will be awful on Friday afternoon - it always is.

It's National Baby Massage Week 13-18 May, and it's got me fondly reminiscing about the wonderful baby massage classes I took my two boys to when they were tiny.
