Ive been feeding my son for 18 months & stopped about 3-4 weeks ago, when will my milk dry up?

Also when i was feeding i lost most of the feeling in my nipple but now they seem a little painfull if i squeeze them :S. I will be starting feeding again in november when my baby is due, i am so scared that it will be just as painfull as when i first started feeding my son.

Anyone no if it will be as painfull?? :|

It takes longer for some than others. I gradually stopped feeding Jaidyn and mine dried up within about 2 weeks, but the fact that you are pregnant could be having an effect on it.

As for next time, I will be a bit painful as your nipples will have 'healed' and be unused to the sucking reflex of the baby, but think positive hun because this time round you know how to position the baby, so that should help loads. Also if it is painful you know that it won't last forever, You've done it once so you know you can do it again!

I'm sure you'll be fine Hon. I don't think you're milk will completely dry up due to the pregnancy hormones kicking about in you as you breasts will still be preparing themselves for the baby to suckle. They may feel quite tender to begin with, but you're so much more clued up about breastfeeding this time round, I'm sure you'll be fine Hon. :D
