I have been teaching myself to knit recently by using the art of knitting magazine and knitting the squares.
Well i got bored of knitting squares so i have started knitting a jumper for keane! Its the first time i have followed a pattern except for those little squares lol so i hope it turns out ok! I have already had to undo it all and start again once

Its not really something that I have ever considered.

When we were younger my mam used to do loads of knitting we had all the cardigans, hats basically everything that could be knitted was and they were lovely.
She doesnt knit much anymore since she was CTS which plays up more if she knits or sews.

I used to be able to do the basics when I was younger....... In, over, through and off is what I was taught. It always worked, just a straight row of loops but I could easily do quite a few rows and make "scarves" lol

Would love to see pictures too.

I tried to knit a scarf with that thick textured wool, I got in such a muddle that I gave up. Well done following a pattern, I may try again whilst I'm on mat leave but not sure how it will go!
