We're not sure if Jack might have reflux so going to book in with the docs to check. He is sick a fair bit, not projectile but enough to make me think it might be, like when I pick him up after he's been laying down or sometimes when being winded. Often he throws up clear fluid when he is just laying there - it just pops out of his mouth with no effort at all. He is wheezy and sometimes coughs he is not a very good eater and it's an effort to get him to finish or nearly finish a bottle. He seems happy enough though, I think, and he does put on weight so the doctor may just suggest letting him grow out of it.
Have any of you had any experience of this? He is on Aptamil Comfort milk

My first and fourth were like that as babies. I breastfed mine, and they still sicked it up. They do eventually grow out of it, although Jack, at 2 years old, can still be sick easily if I try to make him eat more than he wants.
If it gets really bad, see your doctor.

Lily-Mae was a sicky baby and also suffered with colic really bad until we changed her milk. She was on SMA at first then Cow and Gate and finally speaking to the HV she recommended Aptamil which has suited her alot better but she did also say not to put her on the hungery baby milk unless it is really neaded as it is heaver in the stomach and the babies emzyies struggle to digest it as easy as stage 1 milk which can lead to consitpation etc. I dont know if this was our HV personal advice or what all recommend now as tbh i believe us dads and mums know our baby better, but maybe worth looking/thinking about if the milk suits him.

Abbie seemed to have it for a while, combined with colic. Eventually we changed her milk from Aptamil, to Aptamil comfort and are now trying SMA to help her. Colic has stopped but still a little sicky after every meal. She isn't a huge eater either, but my HV says not to worry as she growing and putting on weight. Reaching all her milestones and above for her age, depsite being 6 weeks early (achieving more for her corrected age than her actual age :) ) hope you get it sorted soon chick. Can sympathise cos it is hard to see them like that. Worse when you have 2 like that at the same time, and a 2 year old demanding attention hehehe
xx

Yeah I think we'll see how he goes because he doesn't seem upset with it and he's putting on weight so he may just grow out of it, and hopefully he'll improve as the weaning progresses

My eldest had reflux and it was projectile vomit for a long time, until he crawled. I chose not to give other medication ie Domperidone or Rantindine which are what's usually prescribed as he was still gaining weight and for the most part was what the consultant called a "happy Chucker". I just had muslins all over the house lol.

Your GP may suggest infant gaviscon which thickens the food a bit, it didn't help with Rohan at all and I just stopped giving it to him in the end. Strange one but ask your GP to check for tongue tie as my both mine have suffered with it and i'm not convinced that it wasn't that causing the feeding problems to a degree (or have a look at your lo's tongue and see if there is a slight notch in the front so it looks a bit heart shaped and have you noticed your lo sticking his tongue out, if it's heart shaped and he's not sticking his tongue out he may have tongue tie which prevents effective feeding. I couldn't breast feed Rohan but did manage with Theo inspite of tongue tie).

Both my girls had / have reflux.

Georgias was projectile vomiting all the time even on meds. She grew out of it completly by 2 yrs old. She was on cow and gate comfort.

Olivias reflux is different. She projectile vomits and holds her breath. She goes really blue and limp and has ended up in hospital 3 times. She is now on 2 meds and enfamil ar formula.

Lewis went through a phase of sicking things up, not full feeds or anything just bits at a time. I had a word with my HV and she says it sounded like a mild case of reflux and that he would grow out of it. She also says if it got any worse to book him in with the GP. In the end he just stopped doing it.

Hope you get some answers from the doctors.
