When the school first contacted me saying they had a place at nursery for Mathew I got it into my head he wasn't old enough . Even though he has been looking forward to this for a while he wasn't meant to start until September. Someone rang me just before Easter saying that there was a place for Mathew after the holidays as someone has turned it down.
I was a bit aprehensive because I am used to him being at home with me. They seem to have changed everything since Katie was at nursery. Now they don't go 5 half days either morning or afternoon. They go two full days and a half day (not sure whether this is the same in other areas)
He has to take a packed lunch for two of the days and he even has to wear school uniform, which doesn't bother me as it saves his other clothes from ruin I bought him the bag in the picture so he would know it was his ( i'm sure no one else will take this home ) . He never went to playgroup or any mother and toddler groups and I thought he may be upset when he first went but I couldn't have been more wrong he took it all in his stride and he really enjoyed it. I'm really proud of my little Mathew.
now THATS a bag!!!! bless him I wasnt too bad seeing my Jayden go to playschool as he had played in creche at my childrens centre and then when it came to nursery he settled in like a glove. Hope you settle as well as it looks like he has

Thanks everyone. He is loving it. Hes settled in great. Although he can't keep his eyes open when he gets home as he is that tired I added some more pictures to show you what I mean. He comes home at 3pm, gets changed and falls asleep for at least an hour sometimes more and then still goes to bed at 9pm Another great thing is his bag hasn't gone missing once not like when Jamie and Katie were at nursery they were forever losing them. I think I have got used to him going and am making the most of it. So long as he is happy so am I
