Ive been on at Ryan to do his homework since 6:30pm but all ive had is cheek off him, i really could of done without it tonight too as Paige is poorly again ( will post in health) ive asked nicely, told him i will bring his tea up to him while he does his work but he has shouted at me telling me to "get of his case!"

well it all came to a head about 45 min ago when i told his either to do his homework or forget his birthday bowling party. whats he do .. he laughs in my face !! i told him to get to bed before i lose my temper and he said "what you going to do ground me" and laughed again so i walked past him and went into his room and unplugged his ps2 controllers and went to walk down stairs.

At this point he starts screaming at me telling me he hates me, i turned to him and said " all you needed to do was your homework" then he pushes me, i stood their stunned. I went to walk away when he grabs for the controllers and i shout NO at him so he starts punching me in my arm. I pushed him away and his dad went up to him and told him off but he is adamant that we are in the wrong by telling him what to do !!

I dont know how to deal with this ! Never in a million years did i think he would ever hit me, he has never been smacked when he was younger he would get a tap on the back of his hand when he was naughty but that was when he was 4/5.

help i dont know what to do

Get some distance between you both.

He is angry but totally out of order. When he calms down thats when you can explain to him how his behaviour will not be tolerated at all.

You did the right thing by taking something away from him.He needs to know his actions will have consequences.

Teenagers are the most horrible creatures sometimes, but also the most funny and rewarding :?

I hope you are ok Charlotte (((hugs))) xxxxxxxxx

Thanks Julie, im ok just a little shaken. I didnt think he would ever do something like this, his not even a teenager yet - he will be 12 on Saturday.

I think im going to leave him tonight to calm down and then speak to him tomorrow night after school.

He is in his bedroom now, all is quiet but i know he isnt doing his homework - oh well its him will have to answer to his teachers.

i wonder what tomorrow will bring *sigh*

He wont be doing anything major-but tbh if he is detroying anything its only himself he's hurting because its his stuff :?

By tomorrow, when his hormones have calmed down I bet he will be sorry. He may not say so but you'll be able to tell with his actions.

Just leave him to his own sulky devices tonight, get your feet up and pour a glass of wine. You deserve it!

Whatever tomorrow brings you'll handle it.You've just handled a horrible situation brilliantly xxxx

Thanks both

Julie your right, it is only his stuff he will break. the problem is cus the house is on the market it has to be spotless all the time and i dont have the time to do industrial style cleaning

Vicky I know what you mean. I didn't force him, i just asked if he had any and he said yes its got to be in tomorrow I asked him if he would do it before i put the kids to bed so he didnt disturb them and thats when i got the cheek. Im not going to ask him again its up to him. If he wants to be a grown up then he can have it his way, im sure he will soon change his mind lol

xx

Hun I tried to reply you after Julies first post but pc went on a go slow on me and would not let me open a window to reply.

I was only going to agree with her by saying just to give him a chance to calm down.

((hugs)) I hope he sees how much he has upset you when you chat with him tomorrow xx
