Argh how thick are south Lanarkshire council?
I had 38 days holiday to take tagged onto end of mat leave (full time) before I return part time. After countless phone calls and emails from me and my ht the council still can't pay me right! I have worked out I am paying almost triple what I should in tax and about £70 is missing each pay unaccounted for?!
So off to make more phone alls about this and then again on Monday to personnel to sort out last months pay muck up
Argh!!!!!!!
Xxo

Well still not sorted. Apparently they are right and I am wrong.
Have spent the last couple of nights in tears over this - at the minute I will actually earn a couple of hundred pounds more being part time than I am just now on a full time wage. Make sense of that one?!?!?!
Fortunately my friend has come to my rescue. Her hubby is an accountant, so if I cant get all the paperwork emailed to her, she will get Jim to run the numbers for me, and then armed with his sums I can tackle South Lanarkshire council again, and this time I will not get off the phone till it is sorted!
argh - how stressful is this. :(
xx

What a nightmare Fee! It's awful when that happens, work messed all my maternity pay up before I was due to start. It was so stressful and all I did was worry!
Fingers crossed you get it sorted sooner rather than later though.

thats half the problem Vicky. With this months wage combine with the wage they owe me from last week, I have a massive tax bill, where I am getting taxed at 40% instead of just 20%. I can only hope HMRC give me a cheeky wee rebate over all the tax I have paid - over 1 wage and half from last months I have paid almost £2000 in tax alone!!!!
Yvonne I know SLC are rubbish but this is actually beyond a joke now. This is bad even for them. Dreading next month as should get 10 days full time and 10 days part time. Hmmmmmm do you reckon I will get paid at all, or is going to be another month of fighting with them

no - i understand the payments now tho Jess. I've been put on a 40% tax code instead of 20 due to this back pay. Up to hmrc to sort it now and lets be honest could take years :(
Next month will be fun - 2 weeks as a full time wage and 2 as a part time wage :(
argh
