I used to love painting & decorating rooms, but since i've had the boys it's just a nightmare cos of having to cook dinners, change nappies & stuff whilst trying to paint!

Started painting the bathroom this morning. I am painting it white but need to cover the old grey/silver coloured paint so it's gonna be at least 3 coats I reckon! This coat should be dry by 4pm so i'm gonna do another 1 then & prob finish tomorrow avo if I can! Then need to get the wallpaper I want on the 1 wall & put that up! Prob is now, the woodwork looks really yellow compared to the white walls so gonna have to gloss the whole house now as well  Oh well, It all needs doing anyway!

I hate painting. Other thing is, smell of paint - even the nonsmell stuff gives me a terrible migraine. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it hahahahaha.
xx

Right, 3rd coat is done.... gotta wait til 2pm to do the 4th! I'm just hoping & praying that 4 will cover it! Still looking rather patchy in places :x I hate covering any kind of colour with white! Why oh why do I have to want it to be white?  Oh well, it'll look nice once it's done, that's what I keep telling myself

Bet it looks lovely when you are finished though Lou? It will be worth all the effort.
We tend not to paint our houses, as because they are MOD property, if we paint we have to put the colour back to magnolia before we leave, which is just a pain really.
We painted Rohans room, but thats it. x

Yeah I can imagine that hun! Would be a pain!

When we moved in here we decorated the whole house in 2 weeks! I was preg with Lucas at the time too  That was 3 years ago & we haven't touched it since, so hoping to work my way through the whole house this year! Thought i'd start with the smallest room 1st to get into the swing of things! Didin't realise i'd have to do so many coats though! :x

When we moved in the bathroom was a vile bright aqua colour! I wanted it to be a silvery grey colour but when I painted it, it turned out a lot darker than I thought! I haven't liked it since the day it was finished so i've been wanting to do it for ages! It looks loads brighter now! I have got a black tiled effect lino in there & doing 1 of the walls in a black & white flowery bathroom wallpaper! Should look nice when done :D
