What's your opinion? Should this boy be held responsible? Should his parents shoulder the blame?
My 7 year old knows when he's done wrong and gets punished accordingly and he wouldn't dream of doing what this boy has done BUT I do think the parents have to take some of the blame because we really should know where our 7 year olds are at any one given time.

I think he should be held responsible for his actions. At 7 my children had understanding of whats right and wrong and would never callously kill animals!
I also think the parents should be held accountable for their actions...ie/lack of supervision with a very young child. Its neglect!
If a child is raised with morals then they understand the consequence of their actions.Just because they reach 14 (or whatever the legal age is for responsibilty) doesn't mean they automatically gain understanding.Even tiny children are aware they shouldn't kill animals!!

The child should know exactly what he did was totally wrong and he shouldn't get away scott free, but the parents have to take their share of the blame. They should have known where their son was and he must have been feeding that croc for a while to feed it what he did. Where were they while he was doing something you'd never dream a child would do?
