After reading Fifi's Mothercare post I thought i'd tell you what happened to my sister the other Saturday at her local Post Office
She went early to avoid the queues and luckily it was empty. There was the one girl behind the counter who served her, and a few others the 'customer' side.
My sis soon realised that the staff standing behind her were playing Charades, and the girl serving her had to guess the film.... The girl was really distracted and taking ages so my sis told her that she was in a hurry, to which the girl replied 'I can only go as fast as the computer lets me'
Then..... the girl suddenly shouts out 'ITS THE LION THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE!!!!!!!!!!'
I would have said something on the spot, but she emailed Royal Mail, who sent her 6 stamps as compensation....

They'll be the first to moan if their post office has to close. Our local post office is just a pi$$ take! Peter does the online postage thing for parcels so all he has to do is drop them off at the post office. But no our stupid post office staff say he has to wait in the queue and wait while they weigh the parcel to make sure he's paid enough!! WTF is the point of doing it all online if you have to spend the same length of time in the friggin post office???!! Peter double checked the online small print and printed off the part that basically said he could bypass the queue and drop parecls off. He shoved it in their faces the next time they said anything and they said "But we need to know you've put enough postage on it or it won't be sent" To which Peter replied "Erm, no I don't think so, it will be sent and the person who it is addressed to will have to pay the extra postage plus a charge if there's not enough postage on it and I don't think, as an ebay seller, that I want people doing that now do I?" They huffed and puffed, but soon agreed with him! He also told them if he had any more hassle when he brought prepaid parcels he'd complain to Royal Mail and if they shut the branch it would be their own fault for being not so customer friendly!!

They are doing themselves out of a job! There have been some smaller post offices near my mums who LIMIT you to the amount of parcels you can post!! Whats that all about!
Post office staff are the worst for customer services! In our post office they are so rude and snooty and think they're better than you! I once had the woman put her hand out and tell me to shut up! All because I asked for a certificate of posting and she refused to give me one and I was saying I have a right to one as its for an ebay item! Was so embarassing as there was a massive que, I felt so little.
Last year another woman in there got rude with me when I asked her if she had some tape as part of my parcel looked like it was coming unstuck so I asked her not to be so rude to me and why was it such a big deal and she shouted "Look you bad tempered little girl get out and your not welcome back again" how patronising. Again I felt so little as Im not a little girl. I shouted back at her "Im not a bad tempered little girl you patronising old cow" lol
Omg i can't believe they would tell you to shut up and call you a bad tempered little girl, i think i would have lost it if that happened to me. I have never had anyone talk to me like that especially in a shop or post office, i hope you complained to the post office.
I did go mad, something along the lines on "dont call me a bad tempered little girl you patronising old cow". she then announced I was banned from the post office
I complained to customer services got a written apology, they had a word with her and my ban was lifted
