We're thinking of taking Josh & Harry to Cornwall this summer for a weeks holiday, anyone else been and think it would be suitable for a 1 and 3 year old?

Also does anyone have any suggestions on where to go / stay etc?

Hiya, I live in Cornwall - Falmouth. Where abouts are you thinking of going? Lots of beaches around, museums (Maritime Museums & normal!), art galleries, theme parks, zoos... so on. Let me know where you are thinking & I can let you know whats around xx

We went last year with Ella - she was just 5 months old though. I used to go loads as a child and loved it. We stayed in Newquay - and was fabby. WE had the car so could move around if we wanted. It is quite hilly, but we had a great time. Didn't go to Fistral beach, but a smaller one instead.

we're thinking about Newquay too as Josh loves going to the beach - where did you stay?

We love Cornwall. Went to Falmouth last Summer with all 5 of our teenagers and it was lovely. I love Mevagissey too but that's probably less suitable for little ones as there's less to do.

do you think there would be anything to do in Falmouth for my los? We liked Newquay as well as the zoo looks very good!

Im sure I went when I was younger. It was lovely, right by the beach where we stayed and I remember there was so much for us to do.

Im going to have to find out exactly where it was and get back to you lol :lol:

we stayed in the centre of the town in apartments. We just had a hill to walk down and were in the town centre. We booked through Blue Chip vacations and used hotukdeals and got it a little cheaper. This year though, back to really expensive time as I have to go when schools off :(

Hiya, Falmouth has a fair few things for little ones.. Pendennis Castle, Maritime Museum, Raze the Roof (Soft childrens play), parks, beaches, town, boat trips to St Mawes or Flushing, Glendurgan Gardens is near by, Trebah Gardens too.... and lots more!... Also Newquay Zoo is only a 40 min drive away.

I sound like a walking advert ha ha! I love my town! x

ha ha i love your walking advert, but i also live here so im with you. :lol:

There is plenty to do around Cornwall. If you have transport you will be able to go to loads of places, Eden project, Newquay zoo, Paradise park, Diary land etc
