i weaned matthew on solids at the age of 4 months as he was still allways hungry after bottles .when we started he seemed to love it up untill he turned 6 months and i had to change his food to stage 2 lumpy foods .At first he was fine with it he seemed to enjoy it,then a couple weeks later he started to chuck it all back up whenever i fed him.Everytime i try he seems to not want to even try it he will just spit it all out or swallow then shuck it all back up i have tried already made foods in jars and allso made my own but still no change.I dont know what else to do he seems to just eat stage one. I even tried bannanas he loved them at first then this morning he suddenly decided that he does not like them anymore and will not eat them. I bought him these cow and gate biscuits today he liked it and was chewing on it then throwed up.He seems to not be chewing propley,i have even sat there eating while he is showing him how to chew. Anyone got any advise on what i could do to help him eat stage 2 food? |

At about 6 months babies go through a short phase where they are receptive to solid food and I think you may have missed the cue. I suggest you just give your LO finger food...he won't starve and very well cooked veg dissolves into mush as it's eaten anyway. Pureed food is easier for them to eat so if you're offering him lumpy stuff and then giving pureed if he refuses then he will keep refusing the lumpy foods....they can be devious these little ones LOL |

Freddy went through a stage of not eating his veg and this is what I did |
