I was a breastfeeding mammy, have to say I didnt really have a great deal of support but that was because I didnt know how much was actually out there. Theres breastfeeding support sessions which you can drop in which I never knew about. I just got on with it myself really lol

I am a breastfeeding Mummy - I am still feeding my little boy who will be 3 in January & bubba number 2 is due a t Christmas! I needed a lot of support in the beginning and although my midwife and hv werent very good they referred me to the local group for help which I went to and haven't looked back!
I have since qualified as a Peer Supporter and help out at my local group each week and I am training through the NCT to become a Breast Feeding Counsellor!
I urge anyone out there who needs help to ask their hv/midwife/friends/googles (!) for it! There are lots of groups out there and if all else fails there are lots of b/f help lines!xx

If you are in Surrey there are two Breastfeeding cafes in the Guildford area. They offer Mum to Mum support and expert advice from Ruth Fromow, experienced breastfeeding advisor. Mondays 10-11.30 at the Surrey Sports Park, Starbucks and Wednesdays 10-11.30 at the Gomshall Mill. Mums who struggle with breastfeeding, find the support from these venues really helps them to carry on!
