I joined a book club "books for children" last year. The conditions were that I had to buy 4 books in one year. No problem, rohan loves books and I buy him one every other week.
Anyway, I bought about 8 or 9, for Christmas pressies, and they arrived on time, in great condition and were really lovely books, a nice selection.

However, why do these companies insist on sending you "editors choice"??? Basically they choose books every month that they think you might like, and then charge you to send them back if you dont want them!!! WFT?? It makes me mad, cos I came back after Christmas, to 3 boxes of books that I didnt order, so I called them to collect them, they wouldnt, and said I had to pay to return them
Apparently its in the small print - but still FFS!!

Rant over, but Its just cost me nearly £11 to send them back

have you looked at Redhouse books or the Book People Vickie. Nice cheap books with really good selection. I order from them when buying for the school and they come quite quickly. Plus you dont need a subscription!
