Never heard of one either. Sounds interesting though!

Just googled it & looks like its a pom pom maker but I have no idea how to use it :? Maybe try looking on you tube, there might be a video of one being used!

My Grandma used to have on at her house, I think it used to be called Knitting Nancy. You had to wind the wool round the nails in a particular way, both me and my sister used to play with it a lot.

I remember having one of these as a child - long long time ago  However I don't remember how to use it! Think I'll have a look at the clip on youtube. How frustrating for it to come with no instructions.

Tie a little loop to start with and hook it over one of the pins on the top, go round the pins looping the wool round the pins, get it so you have two loops over each pin then take the bottom loop and hook it over the top one on the pin - do this on all four pins in turn, pull your thread which is hanging out the bottom, then wrap it round again and continue.

That probably makes no sense without the pictures, you end up with a long cord, and then you have to find something to do with it, I think I ended up sewing Alicia's into coaster

Googled it http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/knittingnancys.html
