Hello All

Long time eh? Hope you are all well!!

I'm looking for some advice please. I have endometriosis, and therefore I have been told i can "tri-cycle" my pill, which as you probably know, means taking three packets back to back, so I only have a bleed every three months. This means less bleeding, so therefore less side effects of endometriosis.
however, I have been taking it solid for about 7 weeks now, and I have started to get (TMI Alerts) slight bleeding, although its dark and doesnt come to much. But I do have pains like period pains etc. This has been happening for about a week, I have a few days of pains and slight dark blood (not even really blood to be fair) and then it goes really light, goes away then comes back.
I am wondering if I should just stop mid packet (ive got a bout 10 days left til the end of the packet) and just let myself have a "period", or just continue til the end, put up with it etc. Could it be my body just adjusting to the tri-cycleing.
do any of you do this? Or have experience of the side effects?
Any help greatly appreciated :D

sorry Vickie but I cant help - the pill was no good for me.
Have you tried googling it? im sure there must be some info out there somewhere.

Also have you tried the depo? I dont bleed at all with that, so if its the bleeding you are trying to stop maybe it might be worth a go??

A few months back, i wanted to change the brand of pill i was on, so i stopped taking the one i was on mid packet, and didn't go onto any until over a month later. The result was that i had a period lasting almost 2 weeks, and mine only ever last 4-5 days usually.
I would advise you to finish your packet.

If this is the first time that you have tri-cycled the pill, it may just be your body adjusting to the increase in hormones when it is used to not having any during the 'breaks'. If you have only been taking it for 7 weeks and have 10 left, I would stick it out to see if things get any better as it does take a while for the body to adjust to all those crazy hormones!

And.............yes it has been a long time...........stranger!

Cant help either Vickie. I was on the mini pill pre Ella, but docs wont let me continue on it as it causes migraines apparently. Never made my migraines any worse, but hey ho. So now on constant use pill
Welcome back stranger. Hope you are all ok apart from the period problems?
