hi all on friday sophie said she had a spot in her mouth it was a tiny pimple at the front say her inner lip only lower on monday she came home from school and said this wart is doing my head in mum i looked and was shocked its about 1cm now
i immediatley call the gp who said no dr on but bring her in the morning
we went yesterday and the gp got straight on the phone to the hospital and spoke to a consultant there he explained what it was said definatley no infection and explained the fast growth of it
he had to fax he details over and they said they are calling me to see her and she will be seen within 7 days i know its probably nothing but all the rush is quite scary
especially after seeing how quickly someone can get seriously ill i mean my dad died 4 days after diagnosis of luekimeia so i am terrified of the unknow
just when things seem to be going along ok for a change something happens
just got to sit and wait for a call now to take her i feel like vomiting with worry but i have to be brave for her dont want her to sense that im scared
xxxx

Try not to worry. They will do tests on the lump, and she'll be in the best hands. I hope they tell you it is something minor, more than likely it is.

Hope they put your mind at rest soon hun x

I'm sorry but if you work in the health service then sod bank holidays! People get ill on bank holidays too, people need doctors etc on bank holidays, your body doesn't say "Hey I won't be ill today because it's a bank holiday" I mean FFS there are people all over the gaddamn country that have to work today and Monday and there will also be people (those same people no doubt) that will be working during the Royal Wedding. The whole country doesn't grind to a hault when there's a 'public'holiday. I say public in the loosest of terms as the Mr Office Worker expects things like shops, theme parks hotels etc to be open to enjoy the 'holiday'!!!
I love how the consultants and specialists will nab a few days off, but the poor nurses and 'lowly' junior doctors etc are still plodding on, like a lot of us!!!

Sorry rant over, hi-jacked thread over
