Do you have a family mealtime & do you cook just 1 meal for the whole family or do you do 'double dinners' (1 meal for the kids & another for you & your partner)? I cook one meal which we all eat together. I think it's important to eat a family meal together. The kids don't get a choice of what they want. I cook the meal & if they don't eat it they don't get anything else! I know that probably sounds a bit harsh, but it's all my kids know so it works! I know they're only young yet, but I won't be giving in when they get older either. I think it's important to teach them that you should be grateful of what you have, that you don't always get a choice & you can't always have what you want. This is the way I was brought up & I think it helped to instil good values in me. Also it gets the kids eating a good variety of foods, which I think is important. I know there are a few things that the boys don't like (Lucas doesn't like tomatoes & Kian doesn't like mushrooms - Zac will eat anything & everything ) so obviously I don't make them eat what they don't like, I just don't put it on their plate. So are you a one cook mom or a double dinner mom?

We all eat the same evening meal. Luckily the children arent really fussy eaters, they eat most vegetables and love rice and pasta so I usually cook one big dish which we all share, roasts, casseroles, stir-fry, pasta, even mild curries. The only thing I can think of which none of them like is tuna

We have a family mealtime too. We all eat the same too, unless we are having something hot and spicy lol Lewis has always been a great eater too, he eats just about anything. Infact I cant think of one thing that he wont eat! Hes a big fan of simple stuff such as casseroles, slow cooked recipes and lasagne. I think its important to have a family meal and make sure that the kids get something decent inside of them.

I mostly cook 1 big meal at lunch & dinner time unless me & my partner are having a "naughty" tea! Pizza, chinese etc then I will cook (defrost something I've previously cooked!) for Ellis and he will have his food & be asleep before we have our treat!

Harsh but I hate waste, and do not want to eat seperately, the lads are excellent eaters,I'm the odd 1 I'm vegetarian,so I eat whatever I've made minus the meat, the lads constantly take the mick out of me!!!Tonight it was spag bol,I had pasta with stir through sauce, all clean plates, had to whack a garlic bread in too piggies!!!!!

Ethan is a bit young to eat dinner at the same time as us and we don't want to eat dinner at 4.30! It's a tricky one because my hubby works sill shifts, so sometimes it will just be me and the babe. He already eats the same as us(in liquid form of course!) so that won't change. I don't want to have to cook two different meals a day for dinner, so he won't have much choice!

Truthfully I am the fussy one. Neil and Ella eat curries, stir fries, etc that I dont. So it is often 2 meals cooked here - for me! Although we do all sit at the table and eat together - which I do think is important xx

2 meal times here when Peter's working. I eat with the kids around 6-ish, Peter eats when he comes home around 8. 1 meal time when he's off, but it usually means two different meals due to him being coeliac
