From the age of 3 my Gran looked after me while my parents worked so I saw her Mon-Fri. In theill saw my summer my mum would take all her holidays at the same time to give my Gran a break, but she'd still visit us 3 times a week. I saw my Grandpa when he came in from work when I was at their house.

I'd see my Great Grandpa & Aunt Meg (Great Grandpa's 2nd wife) twice a week when I was with my Gran.

I'd see my dad's parents once a week when I was really young, because we would 'do the rounds' visiting most of my dad;s family on a Sunday (not easy packing all his brothers & sisters in ) When my Grandpa died my mum suddenly realised that it was always us doing the visiting no-one ever came to us so 'doing the rounds' stopped and I saw my Granny once every two weeks. She never really took to my mum (wanted my dad to become a priest) so it was always awkward when we visited!!

After my mom & dad divorced when I was 2 I haven't seen my dad or his parents so I don't remember any of them. My mom's family is really close though & we saw my nan & grandad most days growing up!

My grandad died of cancer when he was 60 (I was 19) and it really affected me cos we were so close :( My nan is still with us but not well atm (depression) :(

I used to see my grandad every day, he loved with us up until I was 6 and when he moved out would visit every day until mum and dad seperated and we moved to, then I didnt see him much and felt really awful when he died.

I never saw much of my nans when I was younger and one has died and the other I havent seen for years. She doesnt even bother with me or ellie-marie for birthdays, xmas etc

I used to see my nanna and granda a lot- my mums parents as they only lived in the next street which was great :)

On my dads side, I never met my grandfather, he died before I was born, and my gran lived up in Cumbernauld so I only got to see her a few times a year, but when we did stay we would have great trips out and I loved visiting her :D

Growing up we went to my granny and grampas house every weekend. I used to stay with them in the summer holidays.

Dads parents we hardly ever saw and if they came to the house then they stayed an hour max.

When my granny and grampa passed away we saw more of dads mum as her husband passed away and he was the one who never liked people in his house or to visit anyone.

Still dont think of her as my granny as never really got to know her. Cant tell you how long its been since I saw her last but she sees ryan lots as he is up there so much.

I used to see my grandparents on my mums side at least 3 times a week. We would always go round there for sunday dinner!
My grandad on my dads side dies before my older sister was born, and my nan became ill with parkinsons soon after so even though my dad visited her loads, they thought it might be to much for us(i was only 11 when she died) so i probably saw her bout twice a month.

dont really see my grandparents much any more, they are off galavanting now they have retired!

Never really saw my grandpa on dads side very much although heonly lived at the other end of the village but we went to Doncaster to see my gran and grandpa on my mum's side everyother weekend and they always came to us for christmas.

When my gran died grandpa came to Scotland to live with mum & dad for 2 years, until he died, which was a big thing for him as he had lived all his days in Doncaster.

from being a baby until age 7 we lived with my nan and grandad and I actually called my nana mum. then my mum married my stepdad and we moved about 5 mins drive away but I used to go to my nans straight from school etc. When I was about 9 we moved 3 houses away and I went to my nanas as much as I stayed home..lolSo I saw her all the time until she moved to spain when I moved in with graham in around 2000. Think it made it a little easier when she died in 2007 as I was not as used to her being there all the time :( still miss her tons though as used to phone her twice a week

I saw my Gran and Papa (dad's side) every Tue and Sat. They would come to ours for dinner. Often would pop in throughout the week also, Papa used to just get bus up and cut the grass for us and then dissappear again without saying anything. They also came on Hols with us a lot, and stayed overnite on Xmas Eve. Was great - I also stayed with them during school hols - wee sis wouldn't tho so was just me!!! Gran and Grandpa we sasw all the time also ( mum's side). We would often just walk down to say hello. Gran on dads side died when I was bout 11, so Papa started to come all the family functions from mums side also. Grandpa and Papa died very shortly after that, and only had Grannie on mums side left. While I was at uni or on hols from work would pop in daily to make sure she was ok. Took her shopping etc. Woulldn't buy our house until had her seal of approval!!!!!!! It devastated us to watch her pass away - was in the hospital for bout 7 hours, came home had a quick bite to eat and headed back up there to be with her. We lasted bout another 2 hours, and she passed away in the memory of having seen me, wee sis and my hubby. I am trying to ensure that Ella has the same realationship with her grandparents - she does with my mum and dad, but his mum is really horrible to me, and am scared Ella will pick up on that eventually.
xx
